Abstract Submission will open early 2020 for our next conference! Stay tuned!
Submission Topics:
Presentations on topics related to palliative care for all age groups, including but not limited to: Care of patients with life-threatening, life-limiting or terminal illness, end-of-life decision making, grief and bereavement, pain and/or symptom management, psychosocial / spiritual factors, role of interdisciplinary teams, and caregiver issues in palliative care with an emphasis on wellbeing.
Types of Presentations:
• Individual speaker
• Symposium (2-3 speakers). Note: Presentation content for all members of
symposium must be included in a single abstract submission (i.e.,
symposium presentation must be comprised of a single study or topic).
Presentation Length:
All presentations will be scheduled for 60 minutes, which should include time for questions from the audience.
Audio/Visual Equipment Provided:
Projector, projector screen, and microphone. We may be offering laptops for use this year, we are looking into the cost of this and will be updating as soon as we have an answer. In the past, presenters bring their own laptops and have their presentations queued up. However this has posed some challenges for the AV tech in years past, so we are investigating a solution.

Please be prepared to submit the following information on the abstract submission page:
1. Title of your presentation
2. Author(s)

7. 3-5 References/citations
8. Presentation type
9. Curriculum Vitae(s) for all presenters

Abstract Requirements:
Please submit one 100-word abstract (to be used in conference program if selected to present) and one 300-word abstract (to be evaluated by selection committee) that provides background information on your topic. For example: the rationale and clinical utility of evidence-based theories, the generalizability of applied concepts, the feasibility of novel interventions. For empirical studies, please provide: your research question(s), population, sample size, methodology, results, interpretation, clinical implications, and applicability to allied healthcare professionals. Presenters will be allotted 60 minutes to present (including audience discussion). If you are chosen to present, we will ask that your slides and or handouts be available, in PDF form, by 10/25/19 so that we may add these to our website for attendees to view and print at their discretion.

The call for proposals opens on April 8, 2019. Abstracts must be received no later than 5:00pm PST on June 14, 2019 to be considered. No late submissions will be accepted. All potential presenters will be notified via email of the selection committee’s decision by June 29, 2019.
